Description: Derginan. Looking N. Cliffs at Derginan Point. Two flows of tholeiitic basalts, with a bed of tuff between them, are seen at the top of the cliff, faulted by a series of small imbricate faults. The Interbasaltic Bed seen as a dark line is underlain by a 30 foot lava, 40 foot grassed-over laterite and lithomarge, a conspicuous banded lava, and then by the rest of the Lower Basalt succession.
