Complete frond, showing dichotomy of the rachis dividing the frond into two sections, which are inequilateral through the greater development of the pinnre on the outer side of the fork than of those within it. The petiole below the fork bears pinnules,
the remains of one being seen on the left. Fig. la fits on to the end of fig. 1, and shows the upper part of the expanded base of the petiole by which it was attached to the stem.
Locality. Grange Quarry, Burntisland, Fife.
Horizon. Shale above Burdiehouse Limestone, Oil-Shale Group. Calciferous Sandstone Series.
