Fragments of frond showing pinnules and parts of rachis, one of which shows the outer apiculate surface converted into a coaly substance, the other from which the coaly substance has been removed is smooth and longitudinally striated.
Locality. Maltby Colliery Sinking, 7 miles S.S.W. of Doncaster, Yorkshire.
Horizon.17 yards 2 feet below Barnsley Coal. Westphalian Series.
