| Description: | Head of Glen More, looking south-south-west to Creag an Leth-choin and Braeriach, Inverness-shire. Retreat moraines of Glen More glacier cut through by stream in foreground. Rock-cut (overflow channel) on skyline on right. Much of lower ground occupied by moundy glacial deposits laid down as terminal moraine of large glaciers coming down from Cairngorms. These deposits have been eroded by the modern streams draining the area, which have created small alluvial plains. Break in slope above trees occurs about 0.5 km. beyond contact of Cairngorm Granite. |
