Description: Valley of Allt a' Choire Mhoir, Fannich Forest, Ross & Cromarty. Moraines and moraine-dammed lochans. Numerous irregular mounds in valley floor consist of unsorted material ranging from boulders to sand. They were deposited by a melting corrie glacier at the end of the last glaciation. Areas between mounds are typically floored by peat. Mountains in distance have roughly concordant summits at about 900 m. O.D., and are made of metamorphosed sandstones and minor mudstones belonging to the Moine Supergroup.
