Description: Scout Scar. Looking SW. View south-west from Scout Scar. Looking across the wooded escarpment of the Carboniferous Limestone. The exposures in the foreground are of the easterly-dipping Kirkby Moor Flag Formation on Barrowfield lot. The small hill, centre left, is in the Underbarrow Flag Formation and the flat alluvium of Underbarrow Moor can be seen behind it. The wooded ridge in the distance is formed by folded mudstone and siltstone of the Bannisdale Formation.
