Description: Glen Glass from high ground near Rhidorach, 5 km. north-west of Evanton, Ross & Cromarty. Looking north-west. Fluvioglacial high terraces and plain of recent alluvium. Devonian conglomerates faulted against Moine psammites. Low, flat ground in foreground is alluvial plain of River Glass. Dark, flat-topped mounds in middle distance, left are terraces of glaciofluvial sand and gravel. Meall an Tuirc (right distance) is made of conglomerates of the Cnoc Fyrish Conglomerate Formation (Middle Devonian). Just beyond this hill, the Moine psammites (metmorphosed sandstones) seen on the distant hills on the left are faulted up against the Devonian rocks, along the line of the Helmsdale Fault.
