Description: Locality view of Cleave Dike Quarry and Boltby Scar, Hambleton Hills. Looking E. Birdsall Calcareous Grit overlain by the Hambleton Oolite (Corallian Group) exposed in Cleave Dike Quarry and along Boltby Scar. The ground between the escarpment and the hay fields is a large landslip involving rotational-slipped Osgodby Formation (bare slope) passing into hummocky mudflows in the foreground.
