Description: | From the east end of Gleann Beag, Ross & Cromarty. Looking north-east down Gleann Mor, Deanich. Silted-up glacial lake and overdeepened valley with spurs cut away, due to glaciation. Flat floor of valley filled with alluvial deposits, possibly laid down in a postglacial lake. On either side, projecting spurs have been eroded away and the valley at least partly converted to a U-profile by action of a valley glacier. Some exposures of Moine Supergroup metasediments occur on valley sides. |
