Description: Cold Moor. Looking E. General view of old adit driven into the Dogger, some 5 m. thick, forming the base of the Middle Jurassic. The mine was worked largely for nodules of ironstones present within the Dogger which consists of a sandy ferruginous and phosphatic limestone containing pockets and fragments of fossils with Terebratulids common.
