Description: Scarth Nick, Whorlton Hill and Carlton Bank. Looking E. General view along the northern scarp of the Cleveland Hills from the glacial drainage channel of Scarth Nick across the village of Swainby to the Middle Jurassic outlier of Whorlton Hill and beyond to Carlton Bank (central horizon). The old jet workings form a distinct series of shale scars mid-way up Carlton Bank. Roseberry Topping is just visible beyond Whorlton Hill.
