Description: View looking north from Loch a' Gharbh-choire, 3 km. north-east of Glenmore Lodge, Inverness-shire. Plain of moundy glacial deposits and glaciofluvial sand and gravel. Foreground consists of moundy glacial deposits, except for some alluvial gravels beside river. In middle-distance, right, is flat terrace of glaciofluvial sand and gravel, with pale colours on scarp face of terrace where landslipping has removed vegetation. Hills in distance largely made of Grampian Group psammite (metamorphosed sandstone).
