Description: Near Brein Phort, north of Loch Tarbert, west coast of Jura, Argyllshire. Shingle of late-glacial raised beach at top of cliff. Postglacial raised beach platform below is in middle distance. Large pale area is formed of shingle forming the late-glacial raised beach. The upper gently-sloping part is at c. 35 m. above O.D. In front of this gently-sloping beach, the deposits extend along a steady slope to the level of the postglacial raised beach, c. 14 m. above O.D. This raised beach is marked by the low, largely vegetated platform in the middle distance.
