Description: 0.8 km. north of Brein Phort, south-west coast of Jura, Argyllshire. Arch in crushed quartzite (foreground) and in basalt dyke (in distance) on postglacial raised beach. Cliff behind capped with shingle of late-glacial raised beach. Present storm beach runs back to merge with partly vegetated postglacial raised beach c. 14 m. above O.D. In foreground is natural arch in Jura Quartzite, probably formed at same time as postglacial raised beach. Stack in distance is made of Palaeocene dolerite dyke. At top of cliff in distance is late-glacial raised beach c. 34 m. above O.D.
