Description: Near 'The Gegan', 5 km. east of North Berwick, East Lothian. Cliff of coarse-grained basaltic tuff. Bedded basaltic tuffs of the Garleton Hills Volcanic Formation (Strathclyde Group, Visean). Note the presence of clasts up to 2 m. in size within the tuffs (base of cliff). Hardness of rocks very variable. Small arch has been eroded in cliff. Finer-grained beds show good lamination and possible cross-bedding (below and left of large blocks).
