Description: Forestry Commission Quarry near Falstone, Northumberland. Looking NE. Badly weathered tholeiite dyke of Tertiary age cutting irregularly through sandstone of the Upper Border Group (Asbian). The dyke pinches out towards the top of the quarry and is composed entirely of white or yellow clay.
