Description: Oxbow II Opencast Site, Temple Newsam, Leeds. Close-up of part of the Adwalton Black Bed exposure, which is generally seen in L1959. Clearly shows the unusual kaolinitic rock (about 15 cm. thick) resting more or less directly on the roof of the coal, and succeeded by mudstones with ironstone bands.
