Description: Former site of railway sidings beside the Henmore Brook, Ashbourne. The Henmore Valley and St. Oswald's Church, Ashbourne. View northwards from the alluvium of the Henmore Brook towards a scarp of soft sandstones of the Sherwood Sandstone Group of Triassic age behind St. Oswald's Church. Scattered outcrops of calcite-cemented limestone gravels (the Ashbourne Gravels) occur on the upper part of the scarp face, while the hill behind is capped by stony till containing large limestone blocks.
