Description: Natural arch, Dove Dale. Looking SW. A natural arch in Carboniferous Limestone. In the massive knoll-reef limestones of Dove Dale, a group of craggy ridges have been left standing between solution-widened joints trending roughly north-west to south-east. The natural arch has been formed in one of these ridges along a closely-spaced group of cross joints intersecting the major set.
