The stope of broken ore comes from a raise (a vertical or sub-vertical shaft) connecting the 630 m. level to the 660 m. level for ventilation and mining purposes. 630 m. level operations. Large F3 fold closure. Banding in the barite in the top right-hand side is vertical, banding on the left-hand side is horizontal. The fold closes around the figure's left-hand. Pyrite in the core of the fold can be seen in the top lefthand side of the picture.
