Description: South-west flank of Conic Hill. View south-west to Loch Lomond. The lower part of Loch Lomond and the Higland Boundary. The hill to the south-east and continuing ridge across Loch Lomond are composed of steeply dipping Lower Devonian conglomerate. The obvious hollow and dry valley are the location of the Gualann Fault that separates the conglomerate from serpentinite that forms the subsidiary grassy-heathery ridge to the north-west (right). The low ground and Island of Inchfad are underlain by Upper Devonian - Lower Carboniferous sandstones. In the far distance are the Arran Hills.
