Description: | Carrock Fell Mine, Mosedale. Harding Vein. The vein here in greisen wall rock is a wide quartz vein. Large black blade-like crystals of wolframite are conspicuous both adjacent to the vein wall (near hammer) and in the centre of the vein. A large mass of orange-brown scheelite is prominent on the right of the picture. Pale brown dolomite is present in many parts of the vein, notably near the bottom of the picture. |
