Caption: Hill of Candacraig, Ballater.
Description: Hill of Candacraig, Ballater. Strongly deformed metasediment and hornblende schist ('older basic'). The admixture of hornblende schists and leucocratic tremolite-plagioclase-biotite bearing metasediments suggest that these exposures may represent basic volcanic rocks and related sediments. They form part of the Middle Dalradian of Glen Gairn.
