Description: Westfield Opencast Site, located five miles south-east of Kinross, Fife Region. Working in the vicinity of the Ochil Fault. The face shows Carboniferous cementstones on a dolerite sill. The two face-shovel rope excavators are Ruston Bucyrus 150RB excavators with a seven cubic yard capacity working alongside a rotary drilling rig, a dump truck with a ripper on the back and a wheeled dozer in the centre.
