Description: Rashiehill Borehole, Slamannan, Stirling. General view of bore-site showing a rotary drilling rig with drilling rods stacked in the derrick. The fairly lightly constructed derrick has wire stays for stability. The two main components of the hoisting system are the crown block at the top of the derrick surounded by the crown safety platform and the travelling block which can be seen just below on the lower safety platform or 'monkey board'.
