Description: Oblique aerial view looking west-north-west to Ben Venue, Loch Arklet and Loch Katrine from near Aberfoyle. Loch Arklet is seen (centre top) and the upper parts of Loch Katrine (top right). Ben Venue is composed of folded and cleaved arenites, wackes and semipelite units of the Ben Ledi Grit Formation. 'Green Beds' originally volcaniclastic marine sediments, occur on its lower north-east ridge and behind Beinn Bhreac (in shadow - upper left). These lithologies form part of the Dalradian Southern Highland Group in the Trossachs.
