Description: The Highlands are formed initially of steeply south-east dipping Dalradian metamorphosed and folded greywackes which become generally sub-horizontal north of Ben Lomond (right) and the Rubha Mor peninsula on the west side of Loch Lomond. View from the drift-covered Devonian sandstones to the pushed-up glacial clays and tills at the edge of Loch Lomond and the Highland Border rocks, Lower Carboniferous sandstones and conglomerates.
