Description: Clydesdale Iron and Steel Works (Stewarts and Lloyds, Ltd.), Mossend. Normal fault in beds of sandstone and fakes exposed in excavations for extension of works, 1924. The fault runs approximately east-and-west and has a northerly hade. The old Splint Coal workings (C2864-C2865) lie immediately north of the fault, i.e. in lower right corner of the photograph.
