Description: Corsewall Point Lighthouse. Wigtownshire. The Corsewall Conglomerate. A very coarse boulder conglomerate of Ordovician age viewed along strike from the east-north-east towards the west-south-west. Some geologists consider the boulders in the conglomerate originated in Newfoundland at a time before the Atlantic opened up due to plate tectonics.
