| Description: | Brisbane Glen, Largs, from above Brisbane Wood. Ayrshire. Western escarpment of Clyde Plateau Lavas of the Renfrewshire Hills, panoramic view, 5 of 6. Good trap features, especially on left and beyond Gogo Water on right. Mostly flows of Jedburgh and Markle-type olivine-basalt (e.g. prominent crag of Cauld Rocks, centre top, is a Jedburgh flow). Smoother slopes (left centre) are due to a faulted inlier of Devono-Carboniferous age sediments. |
