Description: Brisbane Glen, Largs, from above Brisbane Wood. Ayrshire. Western escarpment of Clyde Plateau Lavas of the Renfrewshire Hills, panoramic view, 4 of 6. Good trap features: mainly Craiglockhart and Dunsapie type olivine-basalts on lower slopes with Jedburgh and Markle-type basalts and some mugearites above. Girtley Hill (top left) is composed of trachyte flows. Smoother slopes on right are due to a faulted inlier of Devono-Carboniferous sediments.
