Description: View of Loch Leven and Bishop Hill, Lomond Hills from the Cleish Hills, looking north-east. Perth and Kinross. Both the Cleish and Lomond Hills are formed of hard, resistant quartz-dolerite Carboniferous intrusive sills. Loch Leven is surrounded by a low-lying plain across which the loch probably extended in late-glacial times. Much of the low ground bordering the loch is underlain by fine-grained sand and thick glaciolacustrine deposits.
