Description: Craigwell, 4.5 km. west of Kinross, looking east. Tayside Region. Fluvioglacial plain bordering Loch Leven. The western shores of Loch Leven are bordered by an extensive fluvioglacial plain which is generally underlain by sand and gravel. The part of the plain associated with the South Queich at Balado is featured in the middle distance. The higher ground in the foreground is underlain by boulder clay, against which the fluvioglacial deposits wedge-out.
