Description: | View looking north-east from Drumclune, across Glen Urquhart. Inverness-shire. General view of Glen Urquhart Complex an ultrabasic body of serpentinite intruded into semipelites and psammites of the higher units of the Loch Eil Division. The foreground fields are entirely in Moine. Much of the slope in the middle ground on the opposite side of the glen is in serpentinite, which forms the road-cutting in the centre right of the photo, and also the ground around Milton village on the extreme right. The middle background is formed by limestones and schists of the complex, while the horizon is formed by Moine and Old Red Sandstone. |
