Description: | Pepper Hill (not visible) near Cameron Bridge is probably a continuation of the same feature. The steep western face of the ridge is probably the result of post-glacial, fluvial erosion. Duniface Hill esker. An asymmetrical, mildly sinuous ridge of sand and gravel 600 to 700 m. long, aligned north-south, originating at 'Maiden Castle', a kamiform mound of cobble and boulder gravel, and terminating close to the A915 road. |
