Description: | View from Falklandwood Farm, Falkland. Fife Region. A beaded esker forms a sinuous trace which can be followed for 1.6 km. across the Howe of Fife, in a broadly north-westerly direction. The small, wooded mounds and ridge in the middle distance, adjacent to a large ploughed field comprise a beaded esker. The bulges and swellings may be caused by pauses in the retreat of the glacier that fed the esker-forming stream. |
