Caption: The Howe of Fife, looking north-west from near Bowden Hill. Fife Region.
Description: Beyond Stratheden lie the Ochil Hills through which has been cut the Lindores Gap, visible in line with Burnturk Farm and thought to have been the source route of much of the glacial meltwaters which deposited extensive spreads of sand and gravel, most thickly developed in the afforested ground north of Ladybank. Ramornie sand-pit is visible in the right middle distance. Right part of panorama with D03322. The foreground is dominated by a prominent glacial drainage channel which descends north-eastwards for 1.8 km. along the flank of Cults Hill towards Pitlessie. The flattish valley floor of the River Eden occupies the middle ground.
