Description: | Valley of the River Clyde. The meandering River Clyde has a flood plain up to about 200 m. in width. Photograph taken from near Moat Farm, north of Abington. Looking north-east. The river cliff on the western valley side has been cut into till and exposed bedrock near the base. On the eastern valley side are terraced deposits of fluvioglacial sand and gravel behind which are hummocky glacial deposits and kettle holes (covered by woodland). |
