Description: Rosneath Point 420 metres at 212 degrees from Green Island. Looking west. Dumbartonshire. Thin-bedded conglomerate and sandstones of Upper Old Red Sandstone age. Dunoon is in the distance. They exhibit false bedding and thinning from right and left and are typical braided stream deposits; rather more sandstone than occurs lower in the succession. In the left foreground is a minor fault separating this sequence from the very coarse conglomerate. The line of the fault is indicated by the water in the pool.
