Description: Cock Beck (west bank), Penda's Fields, Leeds. View west-north-west. Low Beeston Coal, Lower Coal Measures. A body of loose, coarse-grained, pebbly sand occurs within the upper part of the coal. The latter is deformed on the south side of this sand body, the bedding in the coal appearing deflected to the vertical. A mudstone parting present near the base of the scale is continuous and undeformed across the exposure. View west-north-west. Scale 0.3m.
