Description: Looking south from near Uig Lodge, west Lewis, Outer Hebrides. View looking down Loch Suainaval towards the Lewisian Uig Hills-Harris granite complex, showing typical Lewisian topography. It is thought that the complex represents the upper portion of a dome-shaped granitic-migmatite complex consisting of intrusive granite and granitized country rock. It has been given a radiometric date of c. 1710 Ma., this makes it Laxfordian in age (Precambrian).
