Caption: Gregory's Quarry, Wilsford Heath.
Description: Gregory's Quarry, Wilsford Heath. Upper Lincolnshire Limestone, Gregory's Quarry. A nearby face to the adjacent photograph; note the deep shadow at the base of the 'Weather Bed' (Clipsham Member or possibly part of Clipsham Member only) which here lacks 'blue hearts' to the cross-bedded units. The observer's hammer rests on the top of the 'reef', here much softer than in the adjacent section. The boundary between 'Hard White' and 'Freestone' is probably the first major parting above the observer's head: the 'Hard White' thickens at the expense of 'Freestone' in this northward direction towards the currently worked face seen in foregoing photographs. Both may be parts of the Sleaford Member although Ashton regards them as parts of the Clipsham Member.
