View to north of remarkably flat-topped hill of Foel Llanfendigaid comprising sandstones and slaty mudstones of the Cambrian Ffestiniog Beds. Below the hill extending from the valley on the right-hand side to the sea beyond Tonfanau Army Camp (on the left-hand side) are ridges of Glacial Sand and Gravel. The Lleyn Peninsula can be seen in outline in the distance.
