| Description: | Stone Lane Quarry, Joseph Arnold and Sons Ltd., Heath and Reach, near Leighton Buzzard. General view, north face of quarry in Woburn Sands. At the top of the section a few metres of 'Silver Sands' can be seen, which has fallen and been washed over the lower part of the section. This comprises approximately 10 m. of the 'Brown Sands', which are fine to medium-grained and heavily iron-stained. The gentle cross-bedding and well-preserved trace fossils (see also A14482) indicate deposition in relatively quiet tidal waters of shallow to moderate depth in contrast to the higher energy sand-wave environment of the 'Silver Sands'.
