The upper 3 m. of this section is in 'Red Sands' comprising dark, medium to coarse-grained pebbly clayey sands showing traces of bioturbation. A thin dark clayey pebbly lag marks the slightly irregular basal erosion surface. The lower 2 to 3 m. of the section is in fine to medium paler sands assigned to the 'Silver Sands'.
