Description: Oblique aerial view of Bearreraig Bay, Skye. The Loch Leathan Hydro Electric Stationis is positioned at the front of cliffs formed of Inferior Oolite (Jurassic). It is sitting on the 25 foot raised beach at the mouth of the Bearreraig River. The Bearreraig River, the outlet for Loch Leathan and Loch Fada, was dammed in the mid 1950's and the level of the two lochs raised. The powerhouse is situated at the foot of the cliff.
