Description: Oblique aerial view from above the Earn Valley looking north-north-west to Perth and Kinnoull Hill. Upper Devonian sandstones underlie the buried channel of the River Earn in the foreground. Beyond a fault scarp are the Lower Devonian Lavas of Moncreiffe Hill. Across River Tay, the Lower Devonian lavas of Kinnoull Hill dip beneath sandstones underlying Perth. Beyond the hollow of Strathmore rise the Dalradian rocks of the Highlands.
