Description: Elliott's Pit, 600 m. E. of Wingmoor Farm, Bishop's Cleeve. Looking S. General view of gravel workings. In this view, looking south, the face shown in the preceding photograph is in the middle distance to the left. The ground in the foreground has been worked for gravel and restored. The gravel was deposited as a fan by floods carrying limestone detritus westwards from the Cotswolds escarpment, part of which is seen in the far distance.
