Description: Rolling Bank Quarry. The Rolling Bank Quarry, Cleeve Hill. This important section exposes the lowest beds of the Upper Inferior Oolite and the highest of the Middle Inferior Oolite. Previously better exposed here, the Phillipsiana Beds, present only on Cleeve Hill, form the base of the section and about 0.9 m. of sandy bioturbated shelly limestone are visible. These are overlain by 2.7 m. of rubbly bedded shelly limestone of the Upper Trigonia Grit overlain by about 2 m. of rubbly pisolitic limestone of the Clypeus Grit.
