Description: W. side of Credenhill, Hereford. Colour banding' and cross-bedding in the lowest sandstone of St. Maughan's Formation. The sandstone is exposed just above the main 'Psammosteus' Limestone at the Credenhill Adit Mine. Colour banding, due to staining by iron compounds, is clearly seen to cut across laminations in the cross-straification.
